Supermodel Miranda Kerr and Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel are engaged — and the soon-to-be-newlyweds announced the big news with (what else?) a custom Snapchat filter.

The couple has been dating for one year, although they were friends before their relationship began, US Weekly reports. Kerr posted the news today on her Instagram and in a Snapchat story.

I said yes!!! ❤️😍❤️😍❤️

The filter the couple used to announce the news is actually a "bitmoji," one of Snapchat's newest features. Bitmoji is currently the #3 free app in the App Store, and Snapchat recently acquired the company for about $100 million.

Bitmoji allows users to create personalized emoji that look like themselves and then add the emoji — essentially colorful digital stickers with funny phrases on them — to Snapchat messages and in text messages.

As for the couple, "they are extremely happy," a rep for Spiegel told the Daily Mail. A source told US Weekly to expect a big extravagant wedding from them.

Rumors have swirled that Spiegel and Kerr were ready to get engaged. The couple was first seen together in June 2015 and recently purchased a $12 million home together. They met while sitting next to each other at a work dinner for Louis Vuitton and their first date was to a yoga studio in Santa Monica.

The two are incredibly career-driven and hard working, and seem to be on the same page. Kerr, a former Victoria's Secret model, has said that Spiegel, who is 26, acts "50" and that they enjoy laid back nights together as opposed to crazy nights out.

"He’s not out partying. He goes to work in Venice [Beach], he comes home. We don’t go out. We’d rather be at home and have dinner, go to bed early,” she told Net-a-Porter in January.

Spiegel cofounded Snapchat in 2011, which is estimated to be worth about $20 billion and is expected to go public in the next few years. The company famously turned down a Facebook acquisition offer for a few billion dollars.

Kerr is the 5th highest-paid model in the world, according to Net-a-Porter.
